This card was initially digitally created for the Pokémon Trading Card Game for the Game Boy Color. In Japan, a physical print was later made available as an Unnumbered Promotional card on an insert in the February 1999 issue of CoroCoro Comic, released on January 15, 1999. Cat Punch's effect on this print was altered to specify that the opponent selects the Benched Pokémon to receive damage when necessary.
