In Japan, it was available on a Special Limited Expansion Sheet that could be purchased at venues hosting the 7th Next Generation World Hobby Fair. The World Hobby Fair took place at the Fukuoka Dome, Fukuoka on December 7, 1997; at Makuhari Messe, Chiba on January 10 and 11, 1998; at the Kyocera Dome Osaka, Osaka on February 1, 1998; at the Sapporo Community Dome, Sapporo on February 8, 1998; and at the Nagoya Dome, Nagoya on February 15, 1998. These venues also hosted the regional Lizardon Mega Battle tournaments on the same dates.
